I'm finally moving, so I will have my (effectively) Epic Grand Master system in a proper HT setup w/ Hitachi 51" t.v. (I saw effectively because my current cneter is a vp-50 instead of a -100).

Now, my receiver is a H/K AVR-120, 45 watts per channel. I find it pretty powerful for that convervative rating. However, there are some pretty good deals out there from Denon for example where I can get 75+ watts, and have component switching for example. As well, my QS-8s are 6-ohm and my receiver is rated 8, thought I haven't had any issues thus far.

I'm currently running the whole setup in my bedroom until i take possession of my apartment, so I haven't really had an open room to test them in.

Will I really notice a difference?

"Will I really notice a difference?"

In sound, probably not. In features, well, the component switching will make your life easier.

I think it depends on what volume levels you listen to,
at lower levels you may not be able to hear any difference whatsoever,
i know that when i went from my yamaha 5450 to my hk 525,at lower volumes i could barely if any hear a difference "BUT" when i cranked it up to theater levels thats when the gunshots and the exsplosions and so on came to life, that goes for music also. And then maybe it depends on your hearing loss?
