How is this combo? how about sound quality? what do you prefer "separate pream/am" or just "A/V receiver"?

I probably shouldn't answer as I only have the 950 mated to an 85X5 Parasound HCA-855a amp. I love the separates. The Outlaw is fantastic, and was a step up from my 75 watt per channel NAD 7175.
