Hello all,
I currently have a pair of M22ti that will eventually be the front L/R for my home theater system. I am going to get the SS24 stand for the two speakers, but I was wondering if I have to drill holes on the bottom of the M22s to mount them on the stands? I would prefer not to put any holes in my speakers so is it secure enough to just sit the speakers on top of the stands? I have no kids so no worries about knocking them down (except if I am really clumsy). I also thought about double side tape, but fear that it will leave gummy residue... Please help! Thank you all.

I have not tried this.
But, I'm guessing that it would do the trick.

Hi,

Good suggestion, James_R, and isn't there similar stuff called Blu-Tak that you can get at Home Depot?

I bought some of the putty from Staples. It's located on the tape supplies aisle. It costs about $2.00. At first I didn't think this stuff would hold my M22's. Boy was I wrong. This putty is great. The only way the speaker will come off is if you use some dental floss to separate it from the stand.

I use stuff called Quake-Hold. It's basically the same as Museum Putty and Blu-Tack. It's a thick, waxy substance. You take some out of the jar, roll it into little balls, and stick a ball under each corner of the speaker. Then you align the speaker on the stand and press down. Works like a charm!

It's supposed to be safe on all finishes, and any residue it leaves behind can be cleaned up with a damp cloth.

Jack,

How did the Polident work for your M22s?

Hi,hope you all fine, you could always put in the address to the closest police station or jail... then if someone wanted to go to your "house" to steal your speakers they would be in for a surprise! Thanks
