Last week I ordered an RXV2400 Yamaha, but got a notice that it was back-ordered so I cancelled it. In the process of looking for another store, both the Denon 2805 and the AVR7300 have caught my eye. The Denon is more comparible to the Yamaha, but the H/K has video processing that will convert ALL 480i signals into 480P- plus the normal upconversion to component outputs and such.

It's more money, but I am very tempted by this. Does anyone know what the video quality is like? Are there any other A/V receivers that offer this capability? I never considered this before, but it sounds like it would be a nice feature. In fact, they recommend keeping the DVD player on 480i and letting the receiver convert it to progressive scan because it has such high quality converters/processers. I could use it on my PS2 and normal cable signals also..

I just received my M22s and VP150 today (haven't listened to them yet- still at work). I also got my MX700 remote and played with it a bit, and can see that it is a great unit and I'm already thinking about cool stuff I will program into it. My STF-2 is on the way also (can't wait). Last is the QS8s and I will be in heaven .

Not sure if anybody will be able to help you out, the 7300 is not even out yet.

Congrats on the MX-700. You will need to post when you get it going.

The HK 7200 gets good marks; logics would indicate the 7300 is just as good. However (I feel like Denon shill), ecost has the Denon 3803 available for $529 (refurb) and experiences on the baord with ecost have been great. Take a look here

The 7300 is out now. It's as low as $1399 on a few sites. I wasn't aware that it was so new though. Too many decisions..

I have my M22s and VP150 hooked up and am listening to them now. I love them so far, and I'm surprised the VP150 is as large as it is- looks great though on my TV. Worksmanship and sound quality is excellent as everyone else has reported. My STF-2 is arriving tomorrow, so I'm gonna be breaking out some DVDs. I just have to figure out which direction I'm gonna go with a receiver. I can't go wrong no matter what I pick, and it's kinda fun checking them all out- like a kid in a toy store.

I would really be interested in where you have found the AVR7300 for sale now and for $1300. I cant find it less to PRE-ORDER for $1999.00. I have been racking my brain over the Denon 3805 or the HK 7200 There both about $900.00. If I can just get past the power issue with Denon then I would get the 3805 but I looked at a 3805 today and it doesnt even have the juice that my HK 525 has. But it has better features. Please let me know where that AVR7300 is for that price.

Yes, me too. I emailed them and they said they had one left. They are not a authorized dealer either. Make me wonder how they have one and no body else does yet. The HK site doesnt even have them listed yet. I was just about to by the Denon 3805 but this one has really caught my attention with the converting all connections to 480p mode (cable, sat, etc..)
