Have had mine for over a year now (M22's, VP150, QS8s and VTF2). W/ my 2 year old and my latest obsession (cyclocross), I haven't had much time to really watch movies or listen to music.

Few weeks ago, I finally got my HD Tivo, along w/ a replacement plasma. My Panny 42" had a stuck pixel and was able to get it replaced under warranty. Olympics looked great, but not as great as some other HD content. I also HD Tivo'ed some movies like SeaBiscuit and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. The LoEG storyline was a little corny, but the effects were kinda cool. Surround sound was AWESOME. Here's some thoughts:

1) I forgot how great the QS8's can be. In my 5.1 system, some of the gunshots should like they were in between the M22s and the QS8's. Cool effect.

2) Who knew that Captain Nemo was a Pakastani Sikh that knew martial arts? And had a repair crew that could fix hull damage in a matter of hours...

3) Sean Connery's agent should be fired for making him do this movie and Avengers.

4) I LOVE HD TIVO. I may never have to buy/rent a DVD again... However, I may need to upgrade w/ another 300GB drive...

BTW, any one see those new Aperion surrounds? Looks like it has a switch to go bipole/dipole. Interesting.

That movie truly sucked (except for the effects as you noted). I thought it was funny as hell that it ended in a way to suggest Part II may be coming. Who the hell would want to see "League Of EX Gents II"?
