Can the M3 be used in all positions in a home theater system- including as a center channel? Thus having a complete timbre matched system.

the m3 would work all the way around but it wouldnt be suggested to use it as a center,i would personally buy a vp100 center channel as it sounds phenomanal and would well match the m3s quality in sound,,also are you considering a floor sub????you would definitly need it with the m3 as they sound exceptional but deliver only minimal amounts of bass/midrange

I agree with canadian guy that you would need a sub and a center channel.

I think, though, that if you watch a lot of movies, you would want QS 4's in the back. If you listen to a lot of music, M3's will sound much better. It's also just a matter of taste. I never really watch high action movies, so I dislike the sounds of QS's in the back, since I mostly listen to music, and sometimes watch movies.

Could you tell us what equipment you will be matching this with, and how large your listening area is? This will greatly help us help you address your situation.

If you want the best for rear surrounds forget the whole quadpole QS, idea and get yourself some VP 100's back there and you won't be sorry. Take it from me I have talked to one of the top sales people from axiom (as I used to build the damn things) and this isw what he suggested.
