Other than the additional 10 w.p.c. are there any other significant differences between these 2 receivers?? Thanks Jon
Upgrading are we?
Oh boy, It's a long story, I just ordered my 2nd!!!! Yamaha receiver, from my companies awards program, Only cause they have nothing else I really have any interest in, so I thought I would sell the new one. I posted about this a bit ago, my 1400 is only 2 months old. Well I got the new one, I ordered it the exact same way-on line, and they send me the 1500. Just wondering if it's really any kind of an upgrade, I love my 1400, so I was just wondering. It sells (retail) for 849.00 the 1400 was 799.00 so I can't imangine it being much, anyone need a nice Yamaha receiver - again
How much?

Jon, a brief summary of the differences is found at the Audioholics site . Most of them seem relatively minor. Presumable YPAO actually has more than just the tone and time changed. This is a developing technology which may never be perfect, but in addition to Yamaha, Denon and Pioneer some models of HK, Marantz and Onkyo have now added it. The Audioholics review of the 2500 published yesterday may be of interest.
