I tried to copy, copy paste, and photo-bucket the great room to no avail. So I just put the house link in. I have (2) m-60s, (2) 22s, (3) QS-8s.(1) vp-150 The new "great room" will be the HT room. Should I use the 22s in the rear, the Qs-8s, or both. Is (5) rear surronds wrong? If I place the QS-8s on the sides, toward the front or rear of listening position, I have no wall space to mount, stands would seem to be my only option, how to disquise the wires?? If this was your room, what would you suggest?? If it has any bearing, the pantry and the small arch into the kitchen will not exist.

Hiya Jon,

I am such a sucker for floorplans.

Which wall is the TV on? (BDR2 or Utility room)

Losing the pantry takes away some options that would have been present. Are you sure you don't want it?

I suppose putting in a basement is out of the question?

Am I helping yet? No? Hmmm.

I think 5 rear surrounds is kind of wacky. Not "wrong", just "interesting".

I can see that is a wicked tall slopey cathedral ceiling. I'd put white QS8's up there anyway on FMB's. Then, I'd put the two M22's in the back.

Awesome house. I'm jealous. When's the party?
Has anyone found a screen (retractable or fixed) that could mount on a cathedral ceiling ? You would need la-z-boy chairs to watch anything and speaker placement would be interesting but it would avoid that awful tradeoff between windows and screen.
well, Not going to be done for a year, I hate the wait!! So I have to just sit in my little room with all my speakers!! No basements in Florida, the water table does not allow it, maybe when you get way "north" floida, but no where around here. I saw one years ago, and the guy had to do some real extensive filling etc.
