i just buy a new amp denon 1905 , i hope is a good one ,and i want to know which main speaker to use whit . romm 12*20*7.5 ,use it in HT and stereo. let me know what you thing ! ty
How far away from the TV will you be sitting? And how many people do you normally have watching movies at your house? The VP100 will perform well for you, but if you sit far away and/or have a large area you want the center channel to cover, then you'll be better off with the VP150.
sry ,i mean front speaker,
Do you mean main(s) or center speaker?
You need to give us more details. How far away will you be sitting? Also, do you like crisp and highly detailed sound, or do you prefer slightly mellower sound? M22s would work for your room, but if you will be sitting more than 8 feet away, then M50s or M60s would be a better fit, I think.
more than 8 feet, 13 feet away the projector ,wood floor , and i like rock and pop music , so i need some punch!
What do you think, guys? All out with M80's? Eric- I have M22's for my mains in a 15x12x9 room and they sound great. But if you want a real wall of sound maybe the M60's or M80's will do better for your needs. I would watch this thread and see what the others say.
bonjour, eric.
In that size room, with that listening distance, my advice would be to get the M60's. I like mine very much.
Oh- Does anyone know if the 1905 will push the M80's with their 4ohm load? I've seen a lot of posts saying the 280x and 380x will push that load...
M60s all the way. They're easy to drive and in a room that size will fill it beautifully. M80s, while fantabulous, are not absolutely necessary for a room that size, and are much harder to drive.
Just my $0.02... YMMV.
You know, I love these M22's after a week of listening. But sometimes I think of the 60's and think maybe... No! No! I take it back! I didn't mean it! PLEASE NOOOOOOOOoooooo (sounds of Mark's wife stapling his tongue to his forehead).
To heck with the *sounds* of that Mark, I'm waiting for the video of Mrs. Mark and that Swingline.
(subliminal man) You know, you (M60) probably don't really (M60) NEED any more speaker than you (M60) already have, but it might be interesting (M60) to hear for yourself in your own room.
on-topic, eric, I think the M60 would be plenty of speaker for that room. However, if you are going to suffer from terminal "what-if" syndrome, you would not be disappointed with the M80 and I would be very surprised if the 1905 had any trouble driving them to satisfying levels.
I love my... I love my... I love my M-60s.

ok ,first thing, ty for all your post, it will be a good choice to go with the m60 ,the m80 with 4 ohm will not sound good with the denon 1905, I THING !. ok just wait for my next contract . (side one)
