To all,

I had posted this on the wrong section.

Thanks to all for the great posts. The information helped select what I believe as the best sounding AV system (IMHO =8^>).
7.1 surround with
m20ti, vp100, ep125, yamaha rxv1500, onkyo dvcp802 dvd/cd player.

Here is my "issue". I initially calculated the cubic feet of my listening area as 15X18X8 which would qualify the listening area as a medium size are. What I forgot was that there is an adjoining uncloseable office area of 10x10x8. Which would mean that the listening area would classify it as a large area. My awesome wife has so graciously allowed me to upgrade under one condition: that is to put an AV system in our bedroom since the kids tend to "hijack the main system" so this is what I want to do:

1) replace the main m20i's with M60's.
2) replace the ep125 with a ep350 or hsu, velodyne, svs, or outlaw equivalent
3) purchase another vp100
4) convert 7.1 in main room to 5.1 with new equipment
5) install 5.1 with m20i(former mains + former back surrounds), ep125, and vp100 in bedroom.
6) finally sell the bose (ouch!!!!) on ebay (which I purchased before I found audioholics and axiom audio)

Hi Sirquack,

I was on your site this morning. Your site and system is awesome. I must be on the right track based on the poll results on your site. BTW, you helped me set up my subwoofer during my very first post. You and others are the reason that I know I have chosen the right speaker company. Believe me, everyone's input on the various subjects have been very helpful. I already know that I would not get this kind of support from _ose.

Thanks again.

Mark

Hey!
I think there are more "Marks" here than "Johns" now!

I smell a Mark Posse! (insert joke here)

Thanks Mark for the kind words. To tell you the truth, I still feel like a newbie around here, as I've only had my speakers for about 6 months or so...

I'm hoping to get some new pics up on my website of my construction and remodeling project in my basement. New dedicated HT coming soon. Don't want to hijack your post so talk to ya later...

God bless those spouses that support our habit... My wife hasn't heard most of my habit yet as it hasn't yet arrived and is still in route. I hope she is as supportive once I start knocking pictures off the wall and the dog is cowering under the bed upstairs!

Go for it! Get the EP500!

How you ever set that up TO ME is incredible. It took me 6 months to figure out how to post a damm pic!!

To All,

I placed the order this afternoon for the EP350 and the M60's!!!!!!! Three week wait for the EP350 and a Six week wait for the M60's (these must be extremely popular). Well worth the wait!!!
Slight change of plans. Teri (My wife) wants me to hook up the m20's and the EP125 to our computer in the office instead of having a 5.1 in the bedroom. I think that is a great idea (especially since she let me get the M60's/EP350). Photo's to follow after I get everything set up.
