Hi,
how far do you place your M60 from the back-wall? Currently, i place it 1 feet from the back-wall and it seems to lack some bass . My listening room is 12x14 and listening position from the speaker is 9 feet. FL/FR speakers are 9ft apart.

thanks.
I find I need a bit more than a foot (15-18") or they sound just a bit boomy -- ie too much bass at one frequency and not enough at others. Try pulling them out a bit.

Couple of other questions :

1. Are your speakers against the long wall or the short wall ?

2. Any chance the wall behind the speakers has a big window ?

3. How far are the speakers from the side walls ?
The best place for my M50's is only 3" from the wall. If I move them out any more I get very large dips in the bass. At this position I only have one bad dip right at 100 Hz. Just happens to be the right freq. for the tone control on my receiver. But it took allot of playing around with test tones and my SPL meter to find that out. Good luck.
Bridgman,
1> what do you mean 'short' and 'long' wall? I'm not sure i answer your question , but my speaker is against 12' wall (width).
2> No back window in the back wall, but behind it is storage with no access (get in from another exit)
3> it's about 18" from the side wall

thanks.
