I know that 2 of the HK’s do, what other brands of receivers, processors are including the Faroudja chip in their product, my next processor/receiver will have a Faroudja chip for video processing.. don't really care about the product having a built in amp, as I have a 5 channel marantz amp… just need video/audio switching, and up converting.

The Faroudja "chip" can be found in a variety of things. A lot of DVD players have it like Kenwood, Denon, Panasonic and a host of others. As for other equipment, Meridians have it, rumor has it that Parasound has it in some of there stuff, and as you know HK uses it on occasion.

If all your after is good video processing and up-conversion, I would suggest that you look at a pre-pro versus a receiver. You will get far more bang for buck.

With that being said, don't get caught up in looking for something that has Faroudja only. Although very good, there not the only game on the block. Silicon Image, Genesis are just a few that have a come a long way. Hard part is finding out what each receiver or pre-pro is using. A lot of manufactures keep it under there hat for some reason.
Just wondering why you would want to do video processing in your audio receiver? I know many receivers do it, but after doing a lot of reading, I tend to believe that your HD TV should carry the load.
Here's what that chips does. Some newer tv have it but I think it's usually in the DVD player.
