New speakers just arrived, numbers 5100001 & 5100004 in the Boston Cherry finish. Will have some pics posted over the weekend. The first run of the speakers was finished up late Wednesday, so was to late to ship my order. Amie had them shipped overnight so I would still receive them before the weekend, so as usual a big thank you to Amie and the Axiom group.
Will post more as soon as I have had a chance to power them up and see how they sound.

Where are you going to install them? I'm sure they won't sound proper if not in-wall mounted as they are intended, no?

Eventually they will be wall installed, just not sure as to the location, master bedroom or the garage., but that problem may be solved by adding another pair. lol

Since the enclosures are sealed (other than the ports), I have a feeling they'll sound just fine if not wall mounted.

Trying to get away on Sunday and take them over to Lees (koiman) he has a set of M3s, and several sources of power, so going to play with them and see how they sound.

Actually, I would have guessed they don't.

The "Boundary Effect" must come into play very heavily with an in-wall speaker… maybe most of all with one that protrudes out from the wall an inch or two. If the in-wall speakers really do sound much like their shelf-sized mates, I'm guessing that there's a different crossover or crossover point used to counteract the Boundary Effect. If the wall is taken out of the equation by using them as free-standing speakers, I'm guessing their mid-bass will sound a little thin.

I absolutely agree. When listeing to a pair of Monitor Audio Silver bookshelves at my local audiophile shop, it made quite a difference in sound when they held them up against the wall. In this fashion the speakers were still further aways from the wall than the Axiom inwall speakers would be. The crossovers would defiinitely have to be different if they have tuned them to sound like their bookshelf siblings. If sitting on a stand or table, they should have a lower output in the low frequency range.
