I order my speakers on Thursday and I got them on Monday. A day early I might add. I orderd a Vp150, a pair of M60ti, Qs8's, and a EP350 sub. And all I can say is wow. These speakers are the best speakers I have heard. I am very impressed with Axiom. They blow my Vifa's away by a long shot. They are very good looking set as well. I highly reccomend Axiom to anyone!

Where do you live? I see free shipping advertised in their store but I can't recall if it is two day or three day. I should be placing my order next Tuesday and would love to have them on Friday.

Congrats on the new purchase.

Welcome, fillyv

Glad you like your speakers, you have the same setup as I do....What receiver do you have, once you get everything calibrated correctly it will get even better.

Axiom ships everything Fed Ex Express, which is normally a 2 day turn around in the U.S.

Well Im from Wisconsin, and Im running a Sony Str-Da2000ES. I know some people dont much care for Sony Stuff, but I have had great luck with them. Next is to buy a Plasma or LCD tv.

I have had a fair number of ES receivers and never had a problem with one of them. The 777ES to this day would make my top 10 list of favourite receivers. Those that are crapping on you for owning a Sony, have probably never owned one. Ignore them!

Cool, I'm in Iowa....LCD or Plasma, heck no, you need Front Projection Home Theater

Exactly. Part of the problem is that a lot of people base their opinions on their experience which is usually never or poorly qualified. Sony has made some products in the past that have had "poor sound quality" but that definitely did not hold true for the ES series. Part of the problem that some manufacturers face is achieving acceptance to as large a target audience [market] as possible. They try to appeal to the budget minded as well as the discriminating listener with deep pockets.

Instead of people saying Product A blows away Product B, if they say in my listening environment with my preferences in music with this equipment my personal preference is Product A over Product B and I have also compared it against Product C & D with these other pieces of equipment..., then that would provide people searching for opinions a little more to base their decision on.

As I and other here have mentioned, people seem to forget that they all hear a little (or sometimes a lot) differently. Try listening to your favourite gear with a tune that you are very familiar with and then listen again while distorting or pulling on your ear. You notice in most cases that it will sound different. When is the last time you noticed that someone else has the exact same ear shape and canal as you did?

Sorry, my rant...

As others have stated over and over, forget what other people like. You can use that as a basis for statistics but what it comes down to is, if you like the sound, then who cares that the other person had to spend $20,000 more to like the sound that they have. Be happy that you can spend a lot less to get the same pleasure out of life.

Well said, Bruce. Framing one's comments in the proper context, and as opinion rather than absolute, is a terribly important part of civil discourse.

It seems to me that Sony suffers from an interesting market segmentation strategy of their own making. They have chosen to continue to "use" the high name recognition of their brand throughout all product lines, from the workmanlike and inexpensive models all the way to very sophisticated technology. I have always been very impressed with their ES and other high end products (although I've never had the privilege of owning any), and frankly, the other Sony products I have owned have been absolutely trouble-free. I wonder if some higher level of differentiation between their high end gear would not have served them well - like the Honda/Acura, Toyota/Lexus and even Onkyo/Integra models.

My personal distrust of Sony's receivers comes from owning one of their run of the mill receivers in the mid-90s. The 100wpc claim was obviously not with all channels driven, and the unit generally sounded pretty lifeless and felt plasticky and cheap. As I recall, it cost about $450 and it eventually went up in smoke not long after I bought my M22s.

My Sony ES CD player, on the other hand, is a fine unit and I have nothing but praise for it. I've only had it a few years, but I've never had a moment's trouble with it (not even a skip) and I fully expect it to keep performing for some time to come.
