All i have to say is MY OH MY have I been missing whole lot of sound back there.

I thought the M3's were good, and now, I realize they were only half decent. The QS4's really project the full sound field, totally envelop me, and they play much louder back there.

I have them placed properly. 7 feet high, and about 2.5 to 3 feet behing me. I used the mounting brackets they came with.

I cannot be more happy with my purchase, unless I could have gotten the QS8's for the same price (or almost the same)!

I recommend quadpoles to ANYONE as rears over anything else i've heard.

I watched the pod race scene again, and you can really get the full effect there. I'm going to watch black hawk down this weekend to get an even better feel.

Try playing around with their locations just for fun. Put them directly behind, slightly forward but along the sides (Alan's recommendation i believe), directly to the side at listening height, higher, lower, etc.
It's really neat to hear all the different versions of the surround locations. I've found i like mine pretty close to what Alan mentioned. They are about a foot forward of my listening position (while sitting right back), to the sides of the listening position and are about 4 feet outwards from the seat.

Chess,

I'd move them around, but I already have the wall mounting brackets installed, and there's things in the way.

We did, however, hold them up and more them around. Directly behind us sounded okay but kind of hollow. right next to the listening position made it less envelopping, it seemed like nothing was really happening behind us.

I really like where they are now. I only wish I had the $$$ for QS8's!!! However, I hear although they are better, they aren't THAT MUCH better. Anyone care to share their thoughts?
