Well I decided to finally start upgrading my home theater system. After purchasing 4 Aperion 532 bookshelfs and their 533 center (which are decent speakers) I started reading about Axiom, I figured I needed a new sub so I ordered, and just recieved my EP350. All I can say is Wow!I put on the War of the Worlds DVD and it felt like we were having one of our typical Calif earthquakes. At that point I knew I needed to go 7.1 surround (really I just wanted some more Axiom products), so my Aperions will be relegated to my 4 rears as soon as I get my new M60s next week (can't wait) Currently running a Denon 3805 and a Denon 2200 (2200 being upgraded to 3910 next week} on a 42' Toshiba HD Cinema Series Plasma. I also wanted to take the time to thank all the Axiom owners on this forum who so honestly share their opinions and advice. I'm certainly no expert on any of this stuff, so reading these forums has been more help to a neewbie like myself than you can imagine. Thanks to everyone and Happy Holidays
Wow, sounds like your jumping into this full-force. Not a bad thing at all. Glad to hear you're enjoy everything so far. With the right set-up, movie watching is an incredible experience.
now that you got your 350, don’t read any of the 500 or 600 posts... you will want to trade up... i had a 350 for about a year, and was very happy with that speaker.. welcome to the community
The 350 is one good sub, and it was king of the hill for a long time, however, the 500 and 600 are in a class of their own. I think my 500 moved our house off of its foundation the other night.
Welcome to Axiom
If you ever want something better for surrounds, check out the Axiom Qs8's. In my opinion, there is nothing in the industry that can compare.
Welcome to the family. I am also new to nicer end H/T and have learned alot form all the guys here and still learning everyday. I know you will enjoy your new speakers. If you want to hear the 500 let me know the next time you come down to Bakersfield. Have fun .
Another welcome to the forum. You should love the M60s, make sure you give us a report on how you like them.
CARNAC: A New York Minute.
ED: A New York Minute!
CARNAC: I SAID that!
ED: And the question is, oh great one?
CARNAC: How long will it take Michael to decide he wants QS8s for surrounds?
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I'll let you know how everything sounds next week when its all set up. I figure I will want the EP500 and QS8's eventually. Right now the EP 350 has the kids and wife running for cover, I can't imagine what the 500 can do. I already garaged the old bose system as well as my old Denon 1803, so it will take me a little bit to justify some new purchases. Well I'm off to the Central Coast to do my wifes favorite activity(wine tasting)Thanks again, Happy New Years
I just wanted to follow up on my M60s that I received last week. They are, as the younger generation says now, the bomb. To put it in perspective, My wife who can at times be a little pessimistic about my purchases, went down to the garage and brought up a box of about 100 cd's I'd never seen before, she plopped a Robert Plant cd in and sat for 5 minutes without saying a word. Finally she looked at me and said "That's the best I've ever heard Robert Plant sound" We ended up sitting on the couch playing her old cd's for 5 hours. Now every night when she gets home from work it's, lets listen to some music. Thanks Axiom, Thanks everybody who posts and tells the truth about these great products. I'm sold, and now my wife is too.
Do your Aperions blend well with the Axioms?
HomeDad,
Lucky is finding speakers that you really like.
Damn lucky is finding speakers that your wife really likes.
Really damn lucky is finding speakers that you both like and that actually add to your quality time together.
Congrats on your purchase!
Michael, a post like yours makes all the time spent here with all the other loonies worthwhile. I'm so glad you and your wife are pleased. I wish you many years of music and movie enjoyment.
Doug, the Axioms work well with the the Aperions, but to be honest I sure would like a pair of Qs8's. Also, thanks to Peter and John for your nice replies.
There's bound to be somebody near you with 60s and QS8s. Maybe you'll get a listen somewhere.
Much is made of the tonal matching of center, mains and surrounds. I'm glad yours is working for you.
I looked hard at Aperions before buying Axioms.
