I thought I would post about some "new" cds I have found.
If you like the blues,...Albert King "Stax profiles" has, as the first song: "Born under a bad sign" w/ SRV......previously unrealeased.
Not too bad, especially for SRV fans.
The rest, are some of Albert King's best...re-mastered.

Also, Rockers ZZ top's Tres hombre's & Fandango are out w/ live bonus tracks......remastered, with the original mix on "la grange".
(not the mix on the "6-pack" 6 cd set re-masters...that added the reverb to the drum track.

All these, are about $10 bucks (or less) each.
I bet Rick and Rick will be all over the Albert King/SRV CD.
Thanks for the heads up regarding the 'Stax Profiles' Albert King CD Larry! I'm curious to know if 'Born Under A Bad Sign' w/SRV was recorded with the (Stax) King/SRV 'In Session' CD (I'm sure it was) ... and am even more curious to know if there are some other King/SRV tunes floating around out there.

I did order it from CD Universe along with Smokin' Joe Kubek & Bnois King's 'My Hearts In Texas' CD ... which should be here within the next few days. Why am I bringing the time delivery span you ask? Because over two months ago I ordered Eric Burden's 'Soul Of A Man'* and Dion's 'Bronx In Blue' CD from Amazon.com ... I finally received Eric Burden's CD a couple of weeks ago and the 'Bronx In Blue' is supposed to be here by the second week in June! Time to try out some new resources and drop kick Amazon.

If you like the Derek Trucks Band, the recently released 'Songlines' album is a good one that I'll recommend.

*Thanks to Oz for turning me on to the 'Soul Of A Man' album, it is a very good album indeed.

From what I could tell from the liner notes, it is from a different session.....I have the Albert King/SRV cd from the TV gig. ( I 'll have to double check).

BB,

I checked both cds......the song looks to be from the same 1983 session.
