This is not related, but, with this post, I am actually equalling Ian's number of posts.

NOW FOR THE REAL PART.

Okay, Ian. We LOVE THE AUDIOBYTES. Can you please address your hungry supporters and give us some insights and anecdotes about the design and stuff. You have hit a grand slam with this product (believe you me, at least 6-8 employyes of mine will buy these within a year; they are THAT good). So PLEASE, please us by sharing a bit about this amazing achievement.
Yes, and please post pictures of Debbie winding the rotor with tweezers and an eyepiece...poor girl \:\) .
I don't know Debbie. But anyone involved, please be extra proud. Axiom is well known for quality. But this goes beyond everything that has been done before (and I LOVE my EP80/500). All involved HAVE to be feel proud and they HAVE to answer to this post, because we love the way you are improving our lives...
Geez, Eric...it's not a cure for hunger \:\) . And don't tell them they're doing such a good job because then they'll slack off. They can slack off after they build mine \:D .
I have been waiting for someone to post up impressions on the Audiobyte's Do you have them with the sub or stand alone?
The sub is not ready yet. It is going to be released in the new year.
And impressions can found here:

Oops, I just realized that the title may have meant the opposite of what I intended... Can one of youse blokes reassures me that the old title was not insulting? Or is it now WORSE?
I don't think either was insulting. When I read your original post, an image came into my mind of Ian bowing before the audiobytes the way the Hebrews bowed before golden statues after they were lead out of Egypt by Moses but that image quickly evaporated \:\) .
I wouldn't say the original title was insulting, just ambiguous, but the new title is sure a heck of a lot more clear ;\)
EFalardeau,

Thank you so much for your kind words. Everyone at Axiom has put a huge effort into making this product a reality and it is so nice when you find out that all that effort has delivered the desired result. The entire strategy was to try and bring real HiFi to computer and iPod users. As such we wanted the same technology that is in the larger speakers to be in the MZeros. Miniaturizing the tweeter was the first step and we managed to get that to work using Neodymium magnets but with the same dome and suspension. I am pretty sure Debbie does not want to build another 3” woofer sample for awhile but we did eventually get the desired performance from that little woofer. I really wanted not just the linearity but usable bass down to 100 Hz so a sub was not completely necessary, though it is a great addition, and also so the sub would not be required to play mid-bass frequencies which should not really be coming from under your desk. The x-overs for the MZeros are currently in the amp module though we have plans to bring out a “hang on the wall” version of the MZeros that will have the x-over in the speaker. It is also our plan to bring out a number of other products in this family. Obviously a 5.1 version of this system is a must but we are also looking at an optional amp with over double the power and a stand alone version of the amp itself. A carrying case is being worked on right now so the Audiobyte system can be made portable for presentations and such. I am thinking it will need to be able to safely deliver your system to the destination if you just checked it as luggage on the plane. We tried to keep the weight of the whole system under control but it was not something we were willing to sacrifice any sound quality for. The toroidial transformer makes the amp a bit on the heavy side but it is not too bad. The reality is though that in order to get linearity in a small package you will end up sacrificing SPL so the amp needs good power and the speakers need to be able to take it.
Ooh, I'll have to hold out for the 5.1 version. Is there going to be a surround channel mounting solution, or are you leaving that to the creativity of the end users?
Excellent! Thanks for taking the time to share this. Again, congratulations to once again exceed expectations, and we'll all be looking for new developments in the coming quarters.
I can't decide whether I love it or hate it when Ian teases us like that.
Charles, you may be holding out for the 5.1 version for a long time. You should buy the audiobytes now for instant gratification.
Ha ha, it's not like I'm in a huge rush to get new computer speakers. I'm using the Spherex Xbox 5.1 system on my PC right now, and while they don't have the clarity and range of my much bigger Axiom system, they're pretty decent. The Audiobytes would look cooler, and it sounds like they'd be an upgrade, but I can wait. I mean, I still need to build my new computer, anyway, so my money is spoken for for a little while.
