Looks like the EP0 passive radiator is a woofer that has not had the voice coil and magnet installed. Note the orange spider that is not connected to anything (I think thats the right term). Perhaps future Axiom drivers will have this new dustcap.
The active woofer is labelled EP0 and is dual voice coil.
I wondered why the cable from the AudioByte amp to the EP0 was stereo.
I really like how the AudioBytes surround is protected by a rubber ring, preventing damage when removing/replacing the magnetic grills.
I too was surprised how beefy the drivers in the Audiobytes are.
I'm blown away to find that it has both a passive radiator AND a port. Cool!
My mother-in-law, who is an accomplished musician, listened to my audiobytes coupled with my powered Sony sub. She was astounded with how great they sounded. The only problem was that they played too loud. So I introduced her to a great invention called the gain control

It extends the low bass response.
I haven't heard the sub. I am sure it's great for portability (eg. tradeshows, demos, etc). But if you plan on putting this in your house, spend a few extra bucks and get an active sub.
Velodyne has a new very small sub out that a few folks on some other threads I have read says works quite well.
