Dude, you just posted this in another thread and had it answered.

In short, yes, people use it, and generally like it. It's not in wall rated. Speaker wire of the appropriate gauge makes no difference to the sound.

I don't think Axiom wire is rated for in wall use. As for how it sounds, well speaker wire has no sound to it.

What happens if i use it in the wall?

Will it hurt it's performance?

would I be doing something I shouls not be doing?

the problem is not that you might hurt your wire, but the non wall rated wire may spark, causing a chemical reaction with your wire insulation and your house insulation... often leads to spontaneous combustion... flames have been documented to reach nearly 1200 deg F due to the chemicals burning off.

What happens if you run it under the floor in the basement ceiling?

My question is where do you put it so you cannot see it?

What are the percentage that something will happen?

Wouldn't it be just as great of Chance it happening not in the wall?

I think that's still considered in-wall. If you're planning on doing something in-wall, get in-wall cable. It all sounds the same in any case.

What is the best price on wall speaker wire?
Posted By: Wid Re: Speaker Wires - 06/27/08 12:47 AM

I used 16/4 in wall for my speaker wire runs. I paid $.25 a foot.
