Hello All,

I have just finished fine tuning my little system and slapped in two new Bluray DVD's. One was the Police in Argentina and the other was Davey Gilmor's concert at the Royal Albert hall.

The Police, well lets just say that the memory that concert brought back was priceless. Sting and company's music was dead on. like we never left the 80's and the bands unofficial break up of 83. there is a one hour documentary i recommend everyone watch on the disc. brings back their story and the reasons for some of their problems. As for the music, well, stings voice is still as golden as way back when. I suggest you pick it up. good value for the buck.

david Gilmor. the voice of Pink Floyd. Priceless. the DVD brought tears to my eyes. there are also 2 songs with david bowie. Comfortly Numb...just this song is worth the price of the DVD.

anyway, thats what i was listening too.

have an excellent night ladies and gents...

Did you listen in stereo or the HD Audio format?

The Police Bluray in HD audio was the one recording that convinced me that putting thousands of dollars in a HT system was well worth it. Very well recorded.

Hey what's the story with that Police BRD? I can't find it anywhere, but see tons of the DVDs around. Was it a limited release?

Another great sounding BRD is the Dave Matthews one. I'm not even the biggest DM fan, and I just bought it for speaker/amp food. But the guitar tracks sound like a guitar in the room. You could get out your own acoustic guitar and jam with it and not notice much of a difference. (Yeah, I'm a nerd.. I tried this)

Sorry for the late reply. I listened to both Sterea and the HD audio on both DVD's. I find the HD format extremely superior. sound stage was larger and alot more "real".
