I'm sure I've read somewhere that a DSP and LFR type outriggers are available for the M80's.
Did I just dream this one day or is there some truth to it?

Hi brwsaw,

You are correct that they are available; sort of. We have not put them on the site yet because they are in short supply as we are trying to get ahead of the required LFR1100 demand. Hopefully this spring we will be able to make them available for the M80s.

Thats great news.

So what would the dsp do for the m80?given that there are no extra speakers on the back.
Posted By: Ian Re: DSP and feet - 03/16/13 09:06 PM
The DSP for the M80s refines the response curves to a level that cannot be achieved otherwise. It is important to note that it will not result in any huge audible improvements as there are no glaring problems with the M80 response curves as they are, but it is a cool device to have in your system.

Need..more...input...

thankyou for the clarification Ian.So would the dsp be adjustable to accomodate poor room acoustics and less than ideal speaker placement?

The DSPs aren't adjustable.

That would be more or less what Audyssey, MCACC, YPOA etc. does.

I'd like to know if matching gold plating will be available.
Black with gold feet, gold with black feet, gold with gold.
I'b be interested.

The face panel is only available in black. I supposed you could add different coloured feet if you wanted to though.

Does the DSP have an aluminum front? Nice.
I was hoping for gold in or on the outriggers.
Black is good.
Some gold would be nice too.

The DSP has a thick brushed aluminium front that matches the fronts on our amplifiers except in a 2U height as opposed to 3U for all the amplifiers.

Thanks.I really like the Aluminum fronts.
The ADA front nearly matches my receivers.
They look like they belong together.

Please keep us posted on the outriggers with gold spikes for the M80's.

This would be my vote.

It's jewelry, I get it...Gimme...Gimme

Insert smart ass grin here.

Its not an exact match but close enough.

I posted the same image on the Simpsons thread.

Hi.

Any update on availability of the outriggers for the M80. I'll likely be ordering within the next two weeks, and would like to have that as a footing option.

Thanks.

Not that I've heard.
The Bryston review mentioned $400 outriggers for the model T.
I could not confirm on their website.
I'm hoping to see some form of confirmation soon.
I'm also hoping they have a smaller price tag. I'm not sure I'd bite at $400.
$100 per maybe...
Have to see.

New basements still empty.
I'm thinking I'll place my towers on concrete paving stones until I can purchase a pair of outriggers just to keep them off the floor.

I just ordered some M100's but didn't bother with the outriggers. I'm hoping the standard feet are sufficient to keep these upright. There's little chance someone will knock into them where they'll stand. Hopefully heavy bass isn't sufficient to cause issues... otherwise I'll be calling for some upgrades ;-)

I like the look, the wider foot print is a bonus.
Posted By: pmbuko Re: DSP and feet - 08/08/13 02:37 AM
No need to worry about the bass. Since the drivers all move front to back and the M100s have deep cabinets, even the heaviest bass wouldn't cause the speakers to tip sideways. smile

Peter is gently massaging around the fact that although your new speakers wouldn't fall sideways, they are likely to do backflips with club music.

Hopefully it wasn't my comment about Bryston's price that's holding up the outriggers for the M80.
