Has anyone out there ever listened to the outlaw m200.If so what was your impession.I was intrested in them so I asked outlaw more about the specs.I was told the damping factor was more than 80 @20to20000hz.slew rate 50, and no secs on dynamic headroom rise time ect.Just wondering why they dont have more info on their amp.

They had quality control issues in the beggining. Slightly bent chasis. Clipping on low impedance speakers only of some units. They must have figured the issues by now. Someone on here has 5 of em and is very happy.

Richard, I don't know anything about the M200, but so far as additional data go, while they're of technical interest, they may not be of any real significance to the buyer. For example, any properly engineered solid state amp has an output impedance low enough(0.1 ohm or less)so that it has a damping factor more than high enough. Since the M200 is more than 80,that means that the output impedance is less than 0.1 ohm(8ohm speaker impedance/80 damping factor). Likewise, if the amp's frequency response is essentially flat to 20Khz, that automatically means that the slew rate is high enough to allow that. Some advertise exceptionally high damping, slew rates, etc., but it's of no practical significance.

If I were to go with Outlaw, I would probably buy the 755 or 770. No strong reasons... Just my taste.

I'm a lurker, but had to respond when I saw this one!

I own 3 of these puppies, and they are driving my M22s and VP 150 up front. They are truly amazing paired up with my B&K Ref 30. Very solid & clean sound, terrific dynamics. Plenty of power to spare.

I'm using my old Marantz to drive the surround & back channels. I've owned them since April, and bought them used off of Audiogon. Outlaw will honor a transferred warranty so I wasn't too worried about the early production issues.

Hope that helps.
Rich

Had two of them, at the same time I was auditioning the Rotel RB-1070 and decided to go with it, for no particular reason...
