My LFR1100 speakers have the dual binding posts on the lower set for the front speakers. Right now I have the metal jumpers connected and am feeding the fronts with a single channel of amplification. But I happen to have a spare two channels left unused from deciding that 5.1 is plenty good enough for my watching experience and putting a set of rear surround speakers will likely bring me no extra joy.

So I am ordering a new set of y cable splitters and am giving my LFR effectively an extra 250watts of power by bi-amping the fronts. Have run it by Andrew who says my DSP should more than cover the voltage to drive two amps even when split. I guess I will be able to crank it up to 11 now.
When you turn her up, you should hear tighter bass and better mids.

My actives are actively penta-amped. They're freakin' glorious. When a drum goes off, I hear THWAP!SNAP! and my guts go gooey from rattle and roll. The woofers and mid-woofers just totally come to life in these puppies and render all the passives muddy and obsolete.

I am soooooo glad Ian didn't hang himself in the chamber when he was trying to get all the drivers to play nice. He was there for three weeks, without food, sleep, water or Amie and finally, when he heroically aligned the listening window and sound power with textbook 3dB/decade decline, trumpets blared and naked fairies appeared to escort him to nourishment and rest.

Hey Mojo,

I am so glad I went through that pain too. I am completely addicted to the Listening Window sitting on top of the Sound Power, there is just a scary realism to it!
Yes but three weeks without food, water, or sleep .... Oh ....
Do fairies have a sex or are they sexless ...
kind of curious since I’ve never meet a naked one myself
Fairies are bodacious females. The problem is, if you attempt to get too friendly (nudge, nudge, wink, wink), they turn into Bryan Reynolds.
Better than Helen Thomas.
I'd prefer a bullet in the nads, thank you.

I agree with Ian. I bought them for my main room but, like Ian, I can't let them go from my living room. The gorgeous walnut finish doesn't help matters.
