Hello everyone

I would like to know if anyone has any feedback on the difference between the M1 and the Paradigm Atom. Everyone has been comparing the Atom to the M3, but how about the M1, or even M2? is the Atom better or worst? any opinions are appreciated!

It would be more fair to compare the M2 to the Atom. Both the M2 and Atom have 5 1/4" woofer/mids. I believe the Atom is good enough to compare it to ANY mini monitor under $300. And the same could be said of the M3ti. IMHO

if the atom sounds like its bigger brother the phantom, then expect highs and mids that are not as clear as the high end monitors in the sub 300 dollar range. I compared the phantom right next to the mini monitor and the phantom souned dull in comparison.

I have not heard the m3ti yet, but ppl say the mids and highs are even clearer on the m3ti than mini monitors.

However I hear that the atom provides more slam and output than comparable speakers in the axiom lineup

The Atom is a MUCH better speaker than the phantom.

Yes, that is true

"However I hear that the atom provides more slam and output than comparable speakers in the axiom lineup"

Again, that is true.

I am replying to myself here.

I just received the M1Ti SE's in the mail, and I plugged them into my amp, and let me tell you something, I prefer them to the Atom, even the Titan. It is VERY true that the M1's have much better treble and midrange, and that they are more neutral and open. Miles Davis' Kind of Blue cd made me feel like I was at the show. The atoms were louder, but I think it would only be better for heavy metal or really loud rock. Otherwise, the M1's are better.

I currently own a pair of M2ti, and used to have Paradigm Atoms. If you like a warm euphonic sound and substantial bass with a thick midrange, the Atoms are for you. If you value instead detail, transparency, and clarity, then the M2ti is a better match. I do miss the Atom's bass though, so had I done it differently I might have gotten M3ti.
