I recently purchased Sonus Faber Concertino Home speakers. My listening room dimensions are 9ft wide x 14 feet long x 10 feet high. I tried the rule of thumb placement tactics but am not happy with the sound. I know I hv to experiment but can someone suggest a better starting point? How far apart should I place the speakers and where should the listening point be, etc?

I apologize if this is old news to you. If it isn't you might start with these.

Dolby Home Entertainment - Room Layout and Speaker Setup

Home Theater 101 - Speaker Placement

My suggestion with no merit of scientific rules.:

40 inches from front wall. 12-24 inches from side wall. Sit at around 12 feet from it. Slight toe-in for sure. Make sure you stands are filled with something inert. The Concertino needs it. They vibrate like my Dad's Proac 1SC on stands. Lots of blue tact on the bottom. If you have something to deaden the sound behind you sitting are the better. Like plants, bookcase, wall rug.
Try that out. I do like the Concertino. But for the price this sounded as good for a little less than its price.
