A single ended triode (SET) tube amp will put out about 7 or 8 watts per channel max.

I like the feedback that these speakers are getting, at the rated sensitivity of 89-93db SPL they are kind of at the edge for being usable with SET amps.

My sure alternative is to go for a back loaded horn rated at about 97db SPL but if I could use the MT60 it would save me a lot of work and would cost about the same.

Their are a few people that frequent this forum that own tube amps with their Axioms. I'm sure that a they will be more than happy to share their experience with you. I have a couple of them myself and haven't tried them with the Axioms. I own a set of Carver ct-7t that I purchase last year for $100 at a garage sale.

I am using a pair of Axiom M3ti with a Cayin TA-30 Tube Amp. and the sound is fantastic. The M3ti are rated SPL 1W/1M at 92DB and the M60ti are rated SPL 1W/1M AT 93db so there isn't much difference as far a sensitivy goes.
