Well...how can I start? Im extremely pleased with the sound quality of these speakers. It put a big smile on my face when I first heard it. The imaging on these speakers are great. Im going to upgrade the center channel and the surrounds soon. I LOVE THESE SPEAKERS. However, I will like to add more bass. Im running a pioneer elite receiver rated at 120 at 6-ohm. Im thinking of purchasing the NAD 218THX. Any thoughts on this amplifier with the M80's. Here are the specs:
Continuous ave. power out into 8 ohm: 225W
Rated distortion (THD 20Hz-20kHz) 0.03%
Clipping power (max continuous power/channel) 210W / 240W
IHF dynamic headroom at 8 ohms +1 dB
IHF dynamic power (Max short term pow./chan.)
8 ohms 250W / 280W
4 ohms 430W / 470W
2 ohms 660W / 700W
Slew rate >100 V/µsec
Damping factor (ref 8 ohms 50 Hz) >200
THD+SMPTE+IHF I.M. (250mV to rated out) <0.03%
Input impendance 60k ohms + 500pF
Input sensitivity (for rated output into 8 ohms) 1.4V
Input gain x 28.2 (29dB)
Signal/noise ratio, A weighted ref. 1W 96dB

ref. rated power 120dB
Frequency response, 20Hz-20kHz 2.5Hz/80kHz(-3dB)

Any help will be appreciated. Thank you

Thank G*d I fund this brand of speakers!

Hi Galo,
Just thought I would reply to your amplifier power for the M80. I have these running off a Carver M500t amplifier. The Carver is rated at 250W into 8 ohms. It gives a spec in the operator manual of 350W at 4 ohms at 1kHz.. I use them strictly for music and I rarely go over above 50 W peaks on the VU meters(if you can believe the meters). These speakers are very efficient and I can't imagine driving these speakers with 250W on up. I would imagine they start to break glass or eardrums! Good luck.
