Anyone know where I can hear M60 or M80 in Atlanta area? So far I like Klipsch RF-5 and Paradigm Studio 60. Heard B&W 604 but vocals way too forward for me. Kind of scared me off of the Axiom trail, at least until I can experience them. After hearing the Klipsch I checked the Polk Audio LSI11 off my list. Thanks.

I know squirrelyz is from Decatur, GA don't know if that is close or not. He hasn't posted since January. Axioms are very neutral in my opinion. I don't buy into the bright/laid back/harsh comments. For comparison purposes, I would say the M60's are very similar if not better than B&W 703's, my opinion of course. I would also place them above the Klipsch and Paradigms you mention, again my opinion. There are many members on here that should be able to comment on comparing to those brands as well. I was in your same situation 6-8 months ago, and I can tell you for me, purchasing my Axioms was the best purchase I've ever made.

Good Luck

Sirquack, thanks for the contact and your opinion. Better than Klipsch RF-5 and Pradigm 60? Man, you're getting me all geeked up again for Axioms.

I liked them best overall. I tested with cds by Anita O'Day, Terence Blanchard, Terry Evans, and Rev. Horton Heat. If I only played classical and jazz I would prefer the B&W. But I have lots-o-blues and rock, so I prefer the Klipsch RF-5 so far. Easy to distinguish each instrument and vocals, yet all blended well. The B&W was somewhat fatiguing with anything that swings or rocks with vocals. The vocals were overpowering to the point of annoying. Maybe it was the equipment? I heard them at a home theater place so had no control over their system.

"Rev. Horton Heat"

Great Band!!!

I got to see them a couple of times last year for free.
My X next door neighbors are Jimbo's (the bass player) inlaws, so anytime they were playing in town I was offered tickets.
If you ever get a chance to see them live, take it.

I surely will. I loves the "-billy" music (psycho, rocka, etc.)
