i think i finally figured it out..an epiphany if you please...i was listening to music, again, very loud cause ti seesm to be the only way i enjoy it. these speakers really need power...i don't care what anyone says...

so i'm listening to one of my favourite songs... SAD CAFE by the Eagles...and it occured to me...i can actualy hear the pick of the guitar on the strings comming from the right channel...and i swear, i have had to get up and check to make sure mycenter channel was in fact OFF, cause i swore that the lyrics/voice was comming from the middle of the room...i guess that is amazing dispersion eh? also, the other thing i figured out is this...i know why these speakers seemed kinda odd at first. they are SO quick, and So detailed...i just was not used to it. i was not used to hearring breaths between voice, and every little nuance the music had to offer...simply cause i have never heard these things before...other than maybe on a pair of Martin Logans...

anyways...i wanted to share. i'm blown away. it's that simple. they are not bright...the are just so detailed, that to the untrained/un used to ear...they seem bright. hearing the guitar in AC/DC songs sound like it's right in front of me, or the deep breathing of Yo Yo Ma as he rips away on his Cello is just too much man. i'm stunned. i called up the store to bring these down to play and compare against their Paradigm Studio 60's and 100's, and they politely refused. LOL... apparently they do not want instore comparisons that other customers might hear... anyways..just thought i'd share. i hope no one minds me posting here so often...but i enjoy it. i have never sat in the dark listening to music so much in my whole life!!!
Jinx, have another tok....uh, er I mean drink, sit back, listen to the music and by all means enjoy!.

Glad to hear that you are taking a liking to the Axioms, good stuff, huh!

Michael, glad to hear how you're enjoying your Axioms. On the center image point, when there's no center speaker working the center material is played equally loudly in both main speakers, and they form a "phantom" image in the center, much as if an actual speaker was playing there.
funny, there is a guy on AVS that posted this same exact information? So either that is you, under a different name, or a nice job of copy/paste?
