Can you have the recipient take pictures of the sub as evidence?

Did the buyer indicate damaged on the signature spot? IE had the driver there to verify it was damaged?

OH! Don't get me started on claims with FedEx.

Let me start by saying that it will take a long time to get a resolution. Even my local audio shop who shipped a pair of Mirage subwoofers down south had incredible problems. It took them a whole year to get their claim resolved. It took me about 8-9 months.

The key is, make sure you document everything, every phone call, every email, and keep all your paperwork together. You will likely have to talk to about 10 different people and tell them the same story over and over again.

Indeed take photos. If you have "before" photos that will also help.

FedEx will only cover up to the price at which you sold the sub and not including the shipping. They do not cover the replacement cost.

They have time limits within which you have to make the claim and answer all their questions. Keep track of these dates. If you take too long, they will use that as an excuse not to pay the claim.

The bottom line is, keep after them. Never give up. They get rid of a LOT of people by simply sending a "your claim has been denied" letter.

It is VERY slippery up here in Winnipeg. That, in combination with a heavy subwoofer equals "smash". I find that a lot of these guys who handle the packages are "undersized" as well. They really should be hiring ex-linebackers to handle the packages.

This is paramount. Without it you will face an uphill battle. With it things should go smoothly. My experience with damaged Fedex shipment was resolved in 60 days. The damaged goods were disposed of by the buyer.
