Now that my M3Ti's will be going to my bedroom, I am looking for a moderately priced integrated amp/cd player, and if possible, a tuner on it as well. I need about 25-45 wpc into 8ohms, with more emphasis on quality of sound rather than loudness. my bedroom is not THAT big and I don't play things loudly in here anyway. I will not be using a sub right away, however I might eventually move the EP125 in here.
Hey freesey!
Here is you chance to unload (oops - SELL) that Sony HCD-541
Looks like ravi is in the market for such a unit!
(I always try to help everybody out - heh heh)
Randyman
Sony?
I don't DO sony.. sorry freesey!
unless you wanna sell it REAL cheap. 5$ okay?
Ouch!
A stab in the heart of an OLD Sony guy!
Sorry ravi - I may have jumped the gun anyway - I don't know that freesey wants to sell it!!!
Yeah, I agree - Sony is not what it used to be (the Company) It's bigger, stronger, richer, more powerful, and less "consumer oriented" than it used to be...
But now and then they still put out some pretty good stuff. I still say their TV can't be beat. And usually most of the stuff in their ES line is pretty good as well.
Just my humble opinion!
Randyman
yea they do have some good stuff
the Wega is nice, but it's expensive!
the XBR is overpriced for sure.
I have a Tau and I prefer it to the Wega, though, easier on the eyes. I'm not a fan of a super bright Sony picture!
Why not check out the used market? You could get a nice integrated from JoLida, Creek, Arcam, Rotel, or Rega (I know you're not too fond of NAD) for moderate prices on Audiogon...
Audiogon?
do they have a website?
I have been looking for used stuff, someone might sell me a Teac Rererence product that's about 40wpc for 375$.
Audiogon is an auction site for new and used gear. The website is www.audiogon.com.
Audiogon's got tons of classifieds (non-auction). You can also set up want-to-buy ads as well...
Normally the high-end stuff goes for half of the retail price... which makes Audiogon a very smart stop if you want good equipment.
