ok. i guess you guys might have figured out why i asked about the qs8's before...well, turns out the guy who i am buying them from...well...English is not his first language...so anyways...

i got a pair of QS8's in black, and the matching VP100 in black heading my way!!!

guess how much i paid for these three speakers....and no, it is not the $900.00 CAD that they go for new...nope... how about 1/3 of that? WOOT WOOT WOOT!!! yup, $300.00 CAD plus shipping from Ottawa. i just can not wait. now THAT is a great deal!!! you just gotta love it, oh ya, the QS8's come with the brackets for wall mountin too...so saves me even more. i have heard how great these qs8's are, now i can't wait to hear them for myself! just need 2 more axiom's for my rear centers and i will have converted fully to the axiom home theater. just gotta keep my eyes on ebay i guess.

anyways, just wanted to share my good news with you guys.
That's a great deal. Congrats !!
question though..do you think the VP100 will be enough for me? or would i be MUCH better off with a VP150??? my room is about 18x27 but...my listening area is only 10x10 give or take...i have the room kinda sectioned off...any thoughts?
Get the VP150. You will be much happier!
There are differing views on this and I don't know which one is right. One view is that as long as you are relatively close to the speakers a VP100 will be fine -- the other view is that room reflections (ie off-axis energy coming back to you) makes the distance from the speakers a non-issue in most rooms. I still lean to the first view -- I think it's a function of room width but not 100% sure.

Personally I think the VP100 will be fine.
I say for the 10 x 10 area, the 100 will do a fine job. Set everything up, sit back, and enjoy for awhile before you make any further purchases.
Get the 150, since there's nothing above it. You can always sell your 100 on ebay.
ya. well i'm getting the vp100 for now, and if i think i need more, i'll sell that one and get the vp150 after.
Stick with the VP100. If your viewing space is 10x10, chances are you will be sitting relatively close. You will not need the VP150. If you are listening to surround music, you will likely not want to venture outside of the "sweet spot". If you simply want to fill the space with music, your mains in stereo should suffice. If you feel you need more, you might want to try for another VP100 (one over and one under your TV). If you have the space, you may want to use the same speaker as your mains for the best balance (though the best sound is achieved with all fronts at the same height).
