Does anybody use those plastic speaker wire channels they sell at Home Depot for hiding your speaker wire along the walls? If so, how do you make them stay adhered to the wall for more than a month, mine always seem to start falling away during the summer. Any help would be appreciated.

I've never used the stuff Home Depot sells, however, my 25ft DVD and Component cables are routed through the cable raceways that I tot on cableorganizer.com The adhesive tape used to attach to the ceiling on my product must be more industrial strength as it has never fallen down.

I'd recommend driving a drywall screw through the channel every few feet to ensure it doesn't unstick itself. Don't go through the top and bottom of the channel of course. Open it up so you just go through the side that's against the wall or ceiling.

I've used it and haven't had any problems with it coming down/ off.

You might want to try some Elmer's Glue. If you really want it to stick where you probably can't get it off, try some liquid nails. You can find the liquid nails in the Home Depot paint department.

I have it in my livingroom and home office. I was unable to thread the wire through the walls and didn't want to drill into a new laid down floor so it was my only way of doing things. It took to painting very well and although still noticable it is easier on the eyes. I didn't however use the self stick since if ever I need to remove it that would tear the wall board. In stead I used a nail gun to secure it to the wall. That way it will pull out if needed and can be replaced.
There are different kinds you can use. Due to the thickness of the wire I was forced to used the wider, flatter one. But on the good there are "T" junctions, left and right turn pieces to guide it where ever you need to.

i have used the adhesive-backed wire channeling before in my old house. I believe that it was Cordmate brand??? At any rate, I had no issues with it coming unstuck. In fact when I moved, I tried peeling the channeling off the wall but it was stuck so well I'm quite sure it would have torn the wall down before it came off.

Thanks for the help everyone, I don't know if it's the temp. fluctuations the altitude or the paint but they stick for a couple weeks and then start falling off. I went with the advice of opening them up and nailing into the wall, they aren't going anywhere now

My wife thinks the channels are just as bad as bare wire running. I have yet to run wiring under the floors and up the walls.

Yeah, a hammer is the most useful of all of my high tech tools. LOL!!!!
