My Factory Outlet M22's came today after being shipped late Friday. Very fast service. All the packaging was intact, and I cant find any blemishes at all (and I looked closely!). Just had time for a brief test before rushing back to work, so I grabbed a random cd. It turned out to be the B52's first album. I am replacing Infinity SM122's (3 way tower with 12" woofer). These new axioms dont seem as loud to me, but perhaps my perception of loudness was based on distortion? Does that make sense? Anyway, my Denon 1801 makes these sound very nice so far. They will be for 80% HT use. Anyone here familiar with these older Infinities? I bought them in around 1991, and were fairly expensive to me at the time.
I am pleased with the quality and service so far, will have to spend some more time to really give them a listen. I hope they blend ok with my Infinity center, but if not, the vp150 is calling to me....

I replaced an ancient pair of 4 way Kenwood speakers with M3s. The Kenwoods had a 15 inch woofer, two 6 inch midranges, two tweeters, and a supertweeter. The M3s are nowhere near as efficient, but are infinitely better. The Kenwoods moved a lot more air but their sound reproduction was awful. Watts used to be a lot more expensive than they are now. Turn your amp up slightly and enjoy.
