Not for me, but for my inlaws. In order to satisfy the "design committee", the sub has to be placed inside a sliding/rotating AV Rack. (AV Rack is nice, wish I had one.) My restrictions are 20" (D) x 18.5" (W) x 26" (H).
A quick check shows that these 2 fit the bill. I have a VTF2 and love it. Has anyone compared the 2 or have suggestions/feedback? Looking to buy in the next few days.
Inside a rotating AV rack sounds like it will make a ton of vibration noises...
The STF2 pulls the EP125's pants down, so, my vote is for the STF2.
Dude, Dan is absolutely right. You are going to have some fun taming those resonances. Even try to find an adjacent wall to build into with just the grill showing.
Since it's form over function, there is a company (I don't remember the name), that makes subs that also fuction as end or coffee tables. Or, along the same lines, you could build a DIY sub/table.
OK, stupid me. I get all these replies (funny) and then realize my subject had a typo.
I meant the STF3... I did see the sale and hence why I asked here to qualify my purchase.
I agree, it might be tough inside a rack. However, I do have the option, if need be, to remove the internal rack in order to isolate the sub better.
Looks like Hsu it is...
I remember that great old Johnny Cash song, "A Boy named HSU"
The STF-3 has the discount too. At that price point no other sub can compare. It's the hard truth. Even without the discount, the STF's are an amazing deal
He was big and bent and gray and old
And I looked at him and my blood ran cold
and I said
My name is HSU!
How do you DO?!
Now you gonna DIE!I've got the Live at San Quentin version (is there another?)
