Emotiva LMC-1 and Toshiba HD-A1 - 05/03/07 07:43 PM
Folks,
Even though I've had my speakers and sub for a couple of weeks, they've been disconnected. I finally hung the QS8s on the sidewalls, and am ready for some movie watching/music listening.
I have never heard Dolby TrueHD, but tonight is the night. Batman Begins.
The HD-A1 is set to bitstream audio out. The 5.1 speaker setup in the HD-A1 is done: correct distances, crossover set to 80, all speakers small, sub yes. 5.1 analog outs into the 5.1 analog ins of the LMC-1. Here is my question: on the LMC-1, do I need to have the speaker sizes, distances and crossover set? I assume the HD-A1 is doing all the processing, so it doesn't matter what the LMC-1 is set at, does it?
Thanks,
Rodney
