Ok trying to see what setup will work for what I have and want to run. My old onkyo is not up to the task of running my M80's so I am trying to up the reciever in a budgit type manner.

What I am looking at now is the Emotiva LMC-1 and LPA-1 combo. What I have to run speaker wise is a pair of M80's, VP150, A pair of QS8's, A pair of Algonquin out door speakers, and 4 Aura Pro bass shakers on the couch.

So what I am thinking is the LPA-1 is 125x6 @ 8ohms...so I can run my 2 M80's at 225w each...the VP150 at 175w (guessing on the power)...and the 2 QS8's at 175w.

Then on the 6th channel I can run the 4 Aura bass shakers buy Y'ing off the sub out from the LMC so one goes to my sub amp (samson 1000) and one goes to the LPA 6th cha. input. Then from the LPA it can go into a wall volume knob, so I can turn off/control the intensaty of the shakers. And then to the 4 shakers that are 4 ohm's each. I will wire 2 pairs in series to make the 2 pairs 8ohm and then wire those in paralell to make it a single 4 ohm load so they see 225w (56.25w each) from the LPA. Setting it up like this will also allow me to get rid of my even older sony reciever that is used to run just the shakers!!

Then I can use the built in 25w x 2 amp on the LMC for the Algonquins outside and I am guessing the LMC has a seperate volume for the zone 2 speakers.

Sounds like it will work??

EDIT: Is the on board amp of the LMC 25x2 or 50x2? The website says 25 but the owners manual PDF says 50. 50 would be nice

Also with the sub/shaker setup....I can Y the LMC sub output to go to the shaker and the sub amp....what if I get dual powered subs....I would then have to Y it again. Is that going to be ok?
You may get more answers to your questions as the av123 forum...they will probably know more about their products.
It's not important, but to just correct any misunderstanding, Emotiva is not an av123 product. When Emotiva started, it was distributed by av123, but quite a while ago, wanting to "do their own thing," they ended the distribution agreement and are completely autonomous now. They can be found at http://www.emotiva.com/. They even have their own forum, the Emotiva Lounge where you might get a better answer to your question.
Thanks yall...I didnt think that was the right place...thanks ajax. I will try the emotiva forum. I think it should work out like I think but I want to find out for sure...see what I want to get.
You can always shoot Lonnie at Emotiva an email or call as well, nice folks down in Tennesee.
You're very welcome. Hope everything in your corner of Nawlins is returning to something resembling "normal."
Heh...well ajax...its getting ther but it will never be the same. Actualy I have now moved to lafayette...about 2 hrs away. Fam. oil field supply company got a little water so we moved the corperate office to higher ground...and that moved me. Cant say I am mad tho...its nice here...and it also gave me room to get the M80's up from my older B&W 602s2's
