Hello

I have a Denon 3803 A/V Receiver.
I am awaiting my Axiom speakers....
Once FedEx delivers, I will be the owner of
M60Ti (Freq. Res : 37-22K)
QS4 (Freq. Res : 100-22K)
VP100 (Freq. Res : 95-22K)
EP175 (Freq. Res : 32-150Hz)

I wanted to know what should be the cross-over setting in the receiver that I need to set.
From the Freq. Res values, it appears that the QS4 has the highest (or lowest, depending on how you look at it) Freq. Res (100 Hz).
Should the receiver cross-over setting be a little more than this, say 102Hz ?
If I do this, how does it affect other speakers (such as the M60Ti that can handle as low as 37Hz)?

your views are appreciated.

Thank you
Regards

Set it to 80 and don't look back

Set the crossover to 100 Hz, but your main speakers to "large". The M60 will still receive a full-range signal that way. Just be sure to enable the subwoofer, or the bass will all get routed to the mains, and you'll miss the big movie rumbles.

I tried having the setting wherein the crossover was set to 100 or 80 with small for speakers. You hardly notice a difference in movies but with music I noticed with my speakers the soundstage was not as prominent. When I set it the speakers back to large the soundstage was back to its nice depth. With my setup I actually like having my cross over off at the reciever level and have the full frequencies sent to my sub. I had my subs crossover set to about 60hz and my speakers all set to large. That gave me the sound I enjoyed the most with my speakers.
I tried with many setting to the crossover on my reciever and the sub crossover set all to max to get it out of the way but it still sounded best with the sub setting the crossover and the speakers set to large.
Experiment and see what you enjoy the most with both movies and also music.
