Hi everyone,

Here my personal review for those speakers… Keep in mind I am no expert and I don’t know all the technical term. On top of that, English is not my first speaking language… ;\)

First the M80: They replace my older Polk monitor tower. The reason I upgrade is because at low volume the Polk monitor was not delivering the detail I was looking for… In regards of that I am really please with the M80. Yes at low volume your heard great amount of detail (movie and music). At normal volume they are just fantastic! You think the guy who plays the guitar is in the room with you. The M80 produce very clear sound and you can hear each instrument separately (That’s part are really impressive.). I am a movie fan so I test a couple of Blu Ray with DTS-HD MA sound… WOW. I heard sound that I swear was not there before… The detail and clarity still surprise me after 2 day of intense listening…

VP150: That’s the one I have the less expectation. The reason is because my old center speaker was a Polk top of the line 699$ LSI speaker. I change for the VP150 just to have the same speaker finish… No expectation but a big surprise… The VP150 sound better than my 600$ Polk center! First it’s sound louder. The high frequencies are much better and the clarity is not in the same league. A very good surprise…

QS8: I upgrade from Polk FXI A4. Surround speakers are harder to review because surround sound is less frequent in movie. For what I hear until now they seam at pair with the Polk not weaker, not better… I will post a follow-up to that in a couple of week…

To conclude: For now, I am really happy with all my new system. Axiom is really delivering what the industry and forum member reviews are claiming …

Thanks to all the forum members you help me in my decision.

Eric

Glad you are enjoying the new system Eric. I like my VP150 and VP100 too, they maitain that Axiom clarity which is needed for vocals. I think once you get a chance to listen to more movies you will start to appreciate the QS8 sound more and more, I find scenes with rain and general all around noises(like in a crowd) are very encompassing with them, unlike direct radiating speakers.

Glad you are enjoying everything so far, Eric. I think the QS8s excel at sound dispersion, really giving an incredible sense of depth and space. You are right, though, surround speakers are generally hard to review. Plus, I think a strength of a surround speaker lies in its subtlety.

Congrats Eric. It was the detail of the M80 that really impressed me as well. Now I'm getting all antsy for mine to arrive!
