I just received some M22's and an EP350. I've always previously had "regular" speakers - JVC, Pioneer, etc. I'm used to simple "push tab" type connections on the backs of the speakers.

The connections on these Axioms are different. Much more sturdy looking - but what are they actually called? What type of wire connectors can I use? I think I'd prefer to just use raw wire - stick it in the hole and tighten the screw down???? What gauge wire will it accept? Thanks.
T,the general term is "binding post". Although connectors such as spades and banana plugs can be used, there's rarely a good reason to do anything other than stick the wire through the hole and tighten it, as you suggest. Any reasonable gauge of wire(i.e. 18 to 12 gauge) can fit, and if the stripped end of the wire is too thick to fit easily, there's nothing wrong with trimming off enough strands so that it fits easily.

As to the EP350, you'll undoubtedly be using a coaxial sub cable from the receiver sub out to either one of the line-level inputs on the sub, rather than using speaker wire to the binding posts.
