i'm thinking about getting a pair but i'm not too fussy with all the grills, will the custom shop make them with the top and bottom grills to hide the woofers, but leave the tweeter ones off, no holes in the cabinet...the colour choice would be black so i don't think it would look all that bad...

Worth giving Axiom a call, certainly. You're Ian's buddy, so that shouldn't be an issue, right?

I don't recall anyone ever getting Axioms without grill holes, other than the Audiobytes, which use magnetic grills. Not sure if the MDF comes predrilled, or what, but I can't imagine that it would be.

I'm sure the CNC programmer just has to bypass the part of the program which drills the holes for the grill hardware, but check with Ian obviously.

I think the grills look cool.

I remember reading that the vassallo's can be ordered without grill holes but they didn't mention the standard versions.
