Here is a spot where I would like to try some M80's. The room is about 13 x 15 but is is uneven because the wall is bumped out for a bookshelf behind the couch. I think the ceilings are 8 feet. The chair is too far forward in the picture. I pull it back when I watch a movie or listen to music.

I think the 60's would be fine and maybe even the 50's but we all know what happens right after you buy 60's.

Other thoughts were M2's or M'3s with a sub. If I get a smaller speaker I can afford a high gloss finish.

And I know I need curtains. I have been living here for 6 years now and I plan on getting to it someday.

Those are Klipsch Forte II's for the curious.

You could do M80s in that room, no problem imo.

Any guy who owns $500+ boots should definitely be looking at Rosewood M80s.
ha ha!! You're mean! smile
You loose about 2' of depth with the floorstanders, so as long as you can spare the footprint you can run M50/M60 or M80s in that room.
M22 + a sub could be also a good option.
But i still vote for a M60/80 towerspeaker.
I wouldn't get the M22's because I think they look goofy. M2 or M3 with a sub I think would be the smart thing to do. But the problem with the 80's is that they exist and I have always wanted them.

M80s might be a little bright in that location. ::snicker::
The best part is when the heat radiators vibrate.
so you have built in passive radiators...cool
Those speakers have excellent bass. Everything elso is so so.
