All my cables consist of Monoprice and Blue Jeans cable. Never had to pay any extra charges. I believe both companies shipped USPS and then dealt by Canada post. However I have not purchased anything from them in the last year or so.

Monoprice prices are so cheap it wouldn't matter anyways. I do like the BJC better though because of the better build quality and connectors. However, I do refuse to pay the premium for the BJC analog cables.

I'm not in Canada, but I went with BlueJeansCable for my home theater V2 and they have great products. For V3 and now V4 of my theater, I went with Monoprice and couldn't be happier.

I used Monoprice for cabling and for a room full of wall jacks and even after shipping and duty it was still cheaper than anything I could find Canadian. The in wall speakerwire was really nice to work with as well.

In comparison, I bought some Home Depot bulk wiring as well but I never will again. It is anything but flexible and you will need to wear gloves just to not cut yourself when working with the ends. It will tend to break apart and get lodged in your fingers. It also corroded prematurely at the ends. The Monoprice does not show a single hint of discoloration yet.

I can confirm the same with the "home depot" wiring. It is stiff, and I've poked many holes in my fingers using the stuff. Does it work? Yes. Is it the easiest to use? No. I too am loving the "in-wall" wiring from MonoPrice.

Like everyone else has said Monoprice.com. Their low prices make up for shipping charges and if you order enought it can really be a savings.

For my remodeling I did use "inwall" 14 AWG for my surrounds from HomeDepot.

The 12 gauge cable I got from monoprice and bluejeans cable is nice but it is thick stranded and fairly stiff. Price is great soi I'd purchase it again.
