Hi All and I want to thank you in advance for any help you can offer. I've arrived at that place where I'm able and interested to upgrade, and I'd love to harvest some enlightened opinions and recommendations.

My theatre includes: Marantz sr-7002 (~120 watts), Emotiva XPA-3 (300 watts x 3 @ 4ohms)and the M-60s, plus the usual suspects (EP-350, VP-150, QS8 x 4). I play a lot of 24bit music (Dragonfly DAC).

The wish is 'biggest bang for the buck' for more detailed, vivid and moving stereo listening. I'm wondering if the M-100s would offer that substantial enhancement. Thoughts?

I think M100 would be improvement. You also might want to take a look a your DAC and upgrade that.

Totally disagree about the need to upgrade the DAC.

I think that the M100's would be a meaningful upgrade.

I'm in the same boat as Tom.

No matter which side of the DAC argument you are on (indiscernible by humans vs. noticable improvements,) the fact that people are arguing over it tells me that 'even if there is a difference' it must be a very, very minor difference or there would not be so much argument over it.

Therefore, I can safely say changing speakers will provide the biggest bang for your bucks without question. If money is limited, spend it on the sure thing first. You can always play with the DAC later on without the regrets of skipping the speaker change.
