Is the caramel stain newer? I don't recall it from a few years ago, and nothing is in that finish on the gllery. Would love to see photos and hear opinions. Also, is chestnut so dark that it hides the wood grain?

I bought my VP100 center in Cherry/Bordeaux/Satin low gloss to match the cabinet it sits in, although, this was kind of a waste of money because you really don't see much of it with the grille on.
Anyway, if you go to Axioms site and custom configure a speaker with Cherry/Caramel, it looks to me more like Walnut in the picture.
