Hello all, I just traded in my original M80ti's for the M80v4 towers. Would the VP150 be adequate for the M80's? The other ones seem a little too big for the family room.

Sure, I had the 150 with M80's for a while, would have kept it but Axiom ran a great deal on the 160.

Wid, How's it going buddy. Long time no talk. Are you still running the rotel amps w/ m80's and Sennheiser headphones?

Hi Spiroh,

"Adequate" (barely), in my judgement. The VP160 and VP180 are dramatically better than the VP150, especially on male and female vocals and movie dialogue. The 160 and 180 are essentiallly a perfect timbral match to the M80s, virtually identical in the double-blind tests I did at Axiom before I retired.

Regards,
Alan

Yes, same system except I switched to Grado headphones.

I ended up trading up from the VP150 to the VP160 as well! Very excited to try out the v4 products in my setup.
