Hi, everybody

I'm looking for some advices from the oweners of either of these two model.

I've narrowed down my receiver choices b/w these two models. Prices are almost the same (both less than $700 USD) and specs are almost identical except that Pioneer removed RSC-232 and USB port from 53. Also, the discontinued 45TX has a nicer looking remote.

I've read the specs of these models on the Pioneer website and found that 53TX is equpped with "Dual Motorola 150 MIP / 48-Bit DSP Engine" whereas "Dual Motorola DSP Engine" with 45TX model. Are thes two identical engine? If so, Is there any advantages in choosing 53TX over 45TX?

Thank you.

Forget about my question, everybody.

A reliable source just told me these models don't do good with M80ti which uses 4 ohm impedance.

Better find a more reliable source, 2k. About a year ago the 45TX was having shut-down problems with 4ohm speakers especially. This was apparently due to a protective circuit being set too low, not any other inherent problem, and was corrected. Those receivers are very powerful and handle 4ohm speakers, including M80s. well.
