Room is approx. 12' wide x 21' long. I have 2 prs of QS8s for sides and rears. Do you guys think 7' is too far behind the listening position for the rear QS8s? they will have roughly 5-6' of separation behind said listening position.

The rear speaker acts as a fill sound to the surrounds. so i doubt that them being 7' will make any difference.. plus the settings adjust to distance so that the rears will still sound insync with everything else.

Adrian, the more common problem with the back surrounds is to not have enough room behind the couch to allow a rear sound field to form.

I'd think that a 7' distance and 6' separation would be near ideal.

Thanks, guys. That'll look better if I don't have to hang them from the ceiling vs back wall. Wife will be happier still, lol!
