I'd like to propose that the customized finish page have a download button for a large calibrated image of the selected finish type ... perhaps with instructions to “use on calibrated monitor for accurate color".

For those of us with calibrated monitors it would be a big help ... instead of the small patches which I'm not sure about color wise.

Also I would not be surprised if Axiom has the images already.
Thoughts?

I'd rather Axiom invest in function rather than form. I wish everyone would just buy raw MDF speakers - not even vinyl - so research can go into where it counts; the sound!

Rich - That's a good idea. It's been a few years, but Axiom used to send, at request, a sample of an actual finish so you can see it first hand. I still have the one from the 2015 purchase of the M100's. It helped a lot.

I got an ebony sample. It had M50s attached to it.

I think they still do send samples ... but if one can get a good feel from a calibrated picture it maybe good enough in most cases. I’d like to see two larger pictures of what they do now: a direct head on picture and an angled pict of a large speaker to show off the sheen ...

I needed on-wall speakers (used for "on-ceiling" height speakers for Atmos and DTS:X) that would blend in to the ceiling as best as possible (ceiling is a darker color). So I got paintable on-walls and painted them to perfectly match my ceiling.

Finish is really nice, even if it is a normally "ugly" color for speakers. That being said, putting my own real wood laminate on them would have been pretty easy actually (if you've ever done something like that before, working the angles on the Axioms isn't that hard). Then you can get whatever wood/finish combo you want. Problem is that a lot of people don't want to take the time or effort to do that, even if they have the tools and experience needed to create a top notch finished product.
